New Training Opportunities from Stoke-on-Trent Educational Psychology Service

Fresh training opportunities launched to support schools and professionals working with CYP with SEND.

The Stoke-on-Trent Educational Psychology Service has released the next phase of its 2025–26 professional development programme, offering a series of specialist training events designed to support schools, SENDCOs and practitioners working with children and young people with SEND.


Executive Functioning

10 February 2026, 9:30am –12:30pm

Identifying and supporting the development of Executive Functioning skills for learners.

 


Creating Positive Spaces for Parents

12 May 2026, 9:30am –12:30pm

Supporting schools to develop welcoming spaces and supportive partnerships with parents of CYP with SEND.


English as an Additional Language

18 June 2026, 9:30am –12:30pm

Identifying and supporting multilingual EAL learners who have SEND.


Why Rewards Don’t Work

1 July 2026, 9:30am –12:30pm

Identifying the psychology that underpins successful teaching and learning practices, and exploring how we can help CYP move towards internal motivation and self-evaluation skills.
