Encourage Young People with SEND to Become Young Commissioners in Stoke-on-Trent
The Young Commissioners programme is a fantastic opportunity for young people to have their voices heard and help shape services that matter to them.
Participants will:
- Collaborate with professionals
- Attend monthly sessions (flexible attendance)
- Be supported by trained staff to take part fully and confidently
Eligibility:
- Young people with SEND: aged 10 to 25
- Young people without SEND: aged 10 to 18
Sessions take place across the city, and we aim to meet young people where they are to make participation easier.
How to refer or encourage a young person to join:
They simply need to complete a short expression of interest form and select the topics they care about. We welcome young people from all backgrounds and experiences.
The programme runs from January to December 2025, and young people can join at any time. Regular updates will be shared throughout the year.
